Singapore Jeweler Awarded WDM Authorized Dealer Status

(IDEX Online News) – Singapore-based diamond and gold jewelery retailer Luvenus Jewellery Pte Ltd., has received accredited status as a World Diamond Mark Foundation (WDM) authorized diamond dealer – the island’s first jewelry retailer to do so.

Managing director of Luvenus Jewellery Pte Ltd., Parthiban Murugaiyan said that by joining the World Diamond Mark Authorized Diamond Dealer (WDM ADD) program meant that consumers would be well informed and increase their confidence in diamonds and diamond jewelry. He added that it was doubly important because Singapore provides a unique consumer profile – comprised of locals, expats and tourists.

"Singapore is a unique crossroads and a true nerve centre for business on our globe and the accreditation of Luvenus Jewellery is a milestone event," said World Diamond Mark Foundation chairman, Alex Popov.

Former president of the Diamond Exchange of Singapore (DES) and a founding board member of the WDM Suresh Hathiramani said that he hoped other jewelers would follow the Luvenus example and be able to benefit from the vertically-integrated network of WFDB-affiliated bourses.
