DMCC Welcomes 12,000th Company
May 03, 16(IDEX Online News) – The Dubai Multi-Commodities Centre (DMCC) has announced that it welcomed the 12,000th member company to join the organization last month, according to a report in The National.
The DMCC said that the number of companies registering to trade within the free zone increased 18 percent compared to the number in 2014, which equates to an average of seven new companies registering with the organization each working day.
The DMCC was set up in 2002 as a trading hub in commodities, precious metals and gems, and companies who trade there include Bulgari and LVMH.
“We are extremely proud of our performance in 2015 and making DMCC a home for over 12,000 member companies," said DMCC executive chairman Ahmed bin Sulayem. “We celebrate this achievement, as the largest free zone in the UAE and global free zone of the year."
