OGI Launches Scanner System for Extremely Large Rough Diamonds

(IDEX Online News) – Technological solutions company OGI Systems Group is set to launch OGI Maximus – a scanner system for measuring extra-large rough diamonds.
Development of the system took several years and was performed in collaboration with world-leading tender companies. Innovative technologies were part of the development process, including a High Resolution Digital Camera for the most accurate mapping as well as advanced algorithms. The machine is large enough to measure even the largest diamonds, including one such as the 1,109-carat Lesedi La Rona.
OGI Group’s marketing vice president Lior Modlin said that the Maximus system constitutes a breakthrough in its ability to increase the diamond merchant’s confidence when planning or manufacturing extra-large rough diamonds.
