WFDB Launches Young Diamantaires Initiative at World Diamond Congress

(IDEX Online News) – The World Federation of Diamond Bourses has announced the launch of a young diamantaires initiative, launched at the recent World Diamond Congress held in Dubai.

The program came as a result of discussions held by the WFDB’s promotion committee, whose aim is to promote ongoing communications between younger diamond industry members and connecting with the federation’s 30 affiliated diamond bourses.

"There has been tremendous interest in the program following our inaugural meeting in Dubai,” said recently elected WFDB promotions committee chairman and Australian Diamond Dealers Club president Rami Baron. ”That shows the great desire among the younger generation of diamond industry members to increase communication and learn from each other about how to take our business forward into the future.

Israel Diamond Exchange president Yoram Dvash has agreed to facilitate video conferences in the initial stages. The group will likely subsequently move to other forms of instant communication such as a WhatsApp group.
