AGS Dinner Honors Jewelry Industry Leaders
July 31, 16(IDEX Online News) – The American Gem Society (AGS) recently held its 16th annual Circle of Distinction Dinner to honor outstanding accomplishments in the jewelry industry, at New York City’s Plaza Hotel.
In particular, the event celebrated the work of three well-known and highly-respected industry professionals. Dione Kenyon, past president of the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT), received the Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the industry throughout their career.
Both Stewart Wicht, president and CEO of Rolex Watch USA, Inc., and Hank Siegel, CGA, president and CEO of Hamilton Jewelers, received the AGS Triple Zero Award – which is named after the highest grade in the AGS Diamond Grading Standards.
“Our members, who share the Society’s mission and values, are the stewards of trust,” said American Gem Society and AGS Laboratories CEO Ruth Batson, RJ.
“I’m proud of each of you, and I’m proud of all the good work AGS has done. Without the AGS, there would be a huge void in our industry.”
This year’s Circle of Distinction event was sponsored by the Julius Klein Group, JCK Events and Wells Fargo.
