Graff Diamonds Reveals 118.78-Ct 'Graff Venus'

November 01, 16 by Albert Robinson

(IDEX Online) – London-based Graff Diamonds has revealed what it says is the largest heart-shape, D-flawless diamond in the world weighing 118.78 carats.

The company's craftsmen took 18 months to cut and polish the type IIa diamond, which it has named the Graff Venus, from a 357-carat rough stone recovered from the Letseng mine in Lesotho in 2015 which was sold by Gem Diamonds for $19.3 million to an undisclosed buyer.

Graff Diamonds Chairman Laurence Graff said on the company's web site: β€œIt is the most beautiful heart shape diamond I have ever seen.”
