Jewelers for Children Supports Hurricane Relief Efforts
September 10, 17(IDEX Online) – Jewelers for Children has announced they have a $10,000 donation to Save the Children to support efforts in the devastated areas following Hurricane Harvey.
“Everyone has been overwhelmed with the news from the affected region and our board felt it was very important for JFC to contribute to the relief efforts," said JFC Chairman Dennis Ulrich. "Our thoughts are with all of the people hit by this horrible tragedy, particularly those that are part of our industry family. Providing financial assistance from the industry’s charity was an easy decision.”
Jewelers for Children, which provides support to charities that primarily benefit children, chose Save the Children to receive their support after working with the charity in the past on a number of disaster relief responses. Save the Children’s concentration on helping children and their families recover as quickly as possible and return to a more normal way of life clearly meets with the mission of the charity.
Including the contribution to the Save the Children, JFC has also announced $2.2 million in support to its legacy charities this year.
