India Posts Decline In Polished Diamond Exports In August

(IDEX Online) – India's polished exports in August were $1.82 billion, a decline of 6.5 percent on the year.
Polished exports for the April to August period edged up 0.5 percent to $9.2 billion, according to the figures released by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).
The GJEPC said that imports of rough dropped by 7.2 percent in August to $975 million, but for the April to August period rough jumped by 8.8 percent in August to $7.7 billion.
