Coronavirus: JCK Las Vegas is Postponed
March 18, 20(IDEX Online) - JCK Las Vegas, the biggest jewelry show in North America, has been postponed.
Organizers say it's a "precautionary measure" to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Two weeks ago, they announced that the event, which attracts over 30,000 of the world's most influential industry professionals, would be taking place as planned from 2 to 5 June at the Sands Expo & Convention Center and Venetian Hotel. That decision had now been reversed, they announced last night.
Sister event Luxury 2020, which had been due to take place at the same venue from 31 May to 5 June, has also been postponed.
The Reed Jewelry Group, which organizes both shows, said in a statement: "After careful consideration and comprehensive discussions, we have decided that the JCK and Luxury shows will be postponed to later in the year due to the growing concerns over public health and safety and the escalation of COVID-19.
"As soon as we work out the details for a new date in 2020 for JCK and Luxury, we will immediately share them with all of you. We expect to be able to do so shortly."
