$12.6m Twin-Stone Diamond Ring is Highlight of 1,000 Christie's Jewels
June 21, 20(IDEX Online) - More than 1,000 jewels are to be auctioned by Christie's in a series of five live and four online sales as COVID-19 restrictions are eased.
Highlights of the Geneva Magnificent Jewels auction include a twin-stone fancy vivid blue and D-color diamond ring (pictured), by the designer Reza ($8.4m to $12.6m).
There are also two unmounted diamonds over 100 carats, a superb fancy intense yellow diamond of 104.04 carats ($2.63m to $3.68m) and a shield-cut mixed-shaped D-color, internally flawless diamond of 100.85 carats ($3.68m to $4.73m).
The sales are taking place between now and the end of July in Geneva, Hong Kong, London, New York, and Paris.
Among the lots are a significant selection of colorless diamonds, colored diamonds, and rare gemstones, together with signed creations by Belperron, Bulgari, Cartier, Graff, Harry Winston, JAR, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and Verdura, with estimates up to $8m.
The New York Jewels Online auction is led by a spectacular 28.86-carat emerald-cut D-color diamond, the largest diamond of its type ever to be offered for sale in an online-only auction.
The live auction in Paris features a rare Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring of 5.57 carats, by Verdura ($300,000 to $335,000).
