Giant Milestone: Chow Tai Fook Joins CIBJO

(IDEX Online) - Chow Tai Fook, the largest jewelry retailer in Asia, has joined CIBJO in a move that's been described as a "giant milestone".
CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, promotes international cooperation in the industry and describes itself as "the United Nations of the jewellery business".
Kent Wong, managing director at Chow Tai Fook, which has over 4,590 stores, said: "It is important that we work collaboratively with our industry peers, bringing in innovative insights. Only when we do so can we herald a new era of growth and synergy."
CIBJO president Gaetano Cavalieri said: "Chow Tai Fook's becoming part of the CIBJO community represents a giant milestone, and will provide our confederation with a considerably broader perspective, not only in what are several of the fastest growing markets in the global jewellery trade, but also in the online environment, which is consuming an ever larger share of sales."
