Tiffany's Ambassador Couple Snuggle up for Campaign Ad
October 21, 21(IDEX Online) - Tiffany & Co's new brand ambassadors, Beyonce and Jay-Z star in ad campaign for the jeweler, inspired by the classic 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Date Night shows Beyonce, 40, and Jay-Z , 51, snuggling up as they're driven through New York city in the back of a Rolls-Royce, stopping for pizza and champagne.
The two-minute playfully romantic video, partly shot in black and white, is a nod to the backseat taxi scenes in the Audrey Hepburn rom-com. It's part of Tiffany & Co's 2021 About Love campaign.
But the ad has attracted criticism, with claims in the UK's Daily Mail that Beyonce's skin was lightened in the editing process.
She was caught up in a "scandal" in August for wearing the the $30m Tiffany yellow diamond. Critics said the iconic 128.54-carat gem, as worn by Hepburn, was a blood diamond.
