Mountain Province to Sell 151-ct Yellow Rough
September 07, 22(IDEX Online) - A huge 151.60-carat yellow diamond from the Gahcho Kué mine, in Canada, is to be sold.
The rough gem (pictured), described as an "octahedron of exceptional clarity," was recovered by Mountain Province Diamonds.
It will be offered for sale by Bonas-Couzyn, in Anwerp, together with over 90 specials, the largest single collection the miner has offered since it started production in 2016.
Reid Mackie, vice president diamond marketing at Mountain Province, said: "These gems are highly coveted by collectors around the globe not only for their beauty but increasingly, for their Canadian origin."
Viewings are being held until Friday, September 16th.
