Diamond Cowboy is NDC's First Male Cover Star

(IDEX Online) - The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) has unveiled its first male cover star.
Actor Taylor Zakhar Perez is cast as the Diamond Cowboy in a two-minute video and in an interview and photoshoot promoting diamond jewelry for men.
Actresses Lily James and Ana de Armas and supermodel Karen Elson have all promoted natural diamonds in high-profile advertising campaigns
Chicago-born Zakhar Perez, 31, is best known for The Kissing Booth romantic comedy films, Red, White & Royal Blue and the sex comedy series Minx.
He is photographed as a cover star - rather than a global ambassador - wearing a diamond and enamel pendant by Greek designer Nikos Koulis and a diamond bolo necklace by Graziela, based in Italy.
"I visited the Karowe Diamond Mine in Botswana," said. "It's female-led and 99 per cent of its employees are from Botswana. But the really cool thing is the mine works to provide lasting and sustainable benefits in the communities."
