6.2-ct Fancy Vivid Pink Could Fetch $15m

(IDEX Online) - A 6.21-carat fancy vivid pink diamond is expected to fetch up to $15m at Phillips Geneva.
The VS1 clarity, Type IIa gem (pictured), set in a ring, leads the Geneva Jewels Auction: Two auction on 13 May, with an estimate of CHF 9.54m to CHF 13.63m ($10.5m to $15m).
"This exceptional gem radiates with a strong saturation and very vivid hue, placing it in the coveted Fancy Vivid category—the pinnacle of coloured diamond grading," said Phillips.
"Its flawless polish and symmetry further elevate its allure, embodying the pinnacle of craftsmanship."
Among the other highlights are The Amazon Queen, a 280.84-carat Colombian emerald - estimate CHF 1.36m to $2.36m ($1.5m to $2.6m) and The Argyle Phoenix, a 1.56-carat fancy red diamond - estimate: CHF 910,000 to CHF1.365m ($1m to $1.5m).
The sale, at the Hotel President Geneva, includes over 100 lots from Cartier, JAR, Suzanne Belperron, Van Cleef & Arpels and other maisons.
