TAGS Sells 20 Specials for $17m

(IDEX Online) - Trans Atlantic Gem Sales (TAGS) sold a selection of 20 specials (+10.8-cts) for just under $17m.
All lots were sold at its third tender in association with Sodiam, Angola's state-owned diamond company, achieving an average of 17 per cent above reserve.
Total sales at the tender in Luanda, Angola, were 636.2 carats for $16.94m, an average of $26,627 per carat.
TAGS said it was "extremely pleased" with the prices achieved.
Last December, at its second tender with Sodiam, TAGS sold six specials and two pinks with a total weight of 646 carats for $18.19m.
The first joint tender, last October, raised $22.3m from 1,329.89 carats.
