New Home for Tiffany's $20m Empire Diamond
April 29, 24(IDEX Online) - Tiffany's iconic Empire Diamond, rumored to be worth $20m, has a new home, in another celebrated piece of jewelry.
Nancy Ajram, the Lebanese singer dubbed the Queen of Arab Pop and a global house ambassador for Tiffany, wore the gem to mark the jeweler's Blue Book 2024 Tiffany Celeste collection debut.
The oval shape, D-color, IF-clarity diamond, from Botswana, was originally set in a re-make of Tiffany's 1939 World's Fair Necklace, which Beyonce wore for an Oscars after-party in April 2022.
It has now been set in the Lucida Star platinum necklace, previously home to the 100-carat, 82-facet Legendary white diamond, which in turn replaced the 128.54-carat Tiffany Yellow diamond.
Singer/songwriter Dua Lipa wore the Legendary diamond to the the Met Gala last May.
