Yood Replaces Stevens as CEO at JVC

(IDEX Online) - Tiffany Stevens is standing down as president, CEO, and general counsel of Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) which serves as the jewelry industry's independent legal expert, and will be replaced by her current deputy Sara Yood.
Yood who has worked at the JVC since 2012, has extensive experience in intellectual property law, fashion law, legal compliance, anti-money laundering regulations, and responsible sourcing.
"I look forward to building on the important work of the organization and ensuring that our membership is served by JVC's unique place in the jewelry industry both serving the industry's needs and playing an important advocacy role with governments," she said.
Rebecca Foerster, chairman of the JVC said: "These are challenging times for our complex industry and it's absolutely crucial to have a leader who fully understands both the nuance of the laws we are subject to and the dynamics of our industry inside and out."
Stevens, who joined the JVC in 2017, is understood to be heading for another job in the industry.
