Company Launches First All-Swiss Lab Growns
July 14, 24(IDEX Online) - A lab grown company based in Zurich has launched a range of jewelry made with diamonds it describes as the first to be entirely manufactured in Switzerland.
Sustainable diamond jewelry brand LOEV, founded in 2022, is collaborating with Ammil, another Swiss diamond company, to produce the Swiss Made Diamond collection.
It says its new manufacturing facility at Muotathal, in the central canton of Schwyz, uses 90 per cent hydroelectricity, supplemented by solar and biomass energy.
"Lab grown diamonds are predominantly produced in Asia and the United States," LOEV says, "where large parts of the grid electricity are generated from burning coal, which significantly impacts the environment."
All stones in the Swiss Made Diamond collection are D-F color, VVS1-VS2 clarity, with jewelry items in in a limited collection of six contemporary designs priced from $7,800 to $28,000. Customers can pre-order now with an expected delivery time of approximately four months.
