Sana Debuts the Meya Prosperity Diamond
November 17, 24(IDEX Online) - Pop sensation Sana wore $46m of Graff jewelry at an event to celebrate the third birthday of the jeweler's Tokyo store.
Highlight of the ensemble was a necklace featuring a 102.38-carat diamond cut by Graff from the 476-carat rough stone known as the Meya Prosperity.
It was recovered in Sierra Leone in 2017 and was, at the time, the world's 29th biggest diamond. Graff reportedly paid $16.5m for it.
Sana, aged 28 - born in Japan and a star in South Korea - is part of the K-pop (Korean pop) girl group Twice and is also a brand ambassador for Graff.
She wore a diamond ring, diamond earrings, and a diamond bracelet in addition to the Meya Propserity necklace. That's a total of 252 carats, valued at $45m.
Graff CEO Francois Graff said: "The unveiling of the principal diamond from the Meya Prosperity marks a significant moment for Graff - and I can think of no better way to celebrate this milestone than here in Japan.
