"Friend" Charged with Murder of US Jeweler
January 01, 25(IDEX Online) - A man has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of jeweler in Florida, USA.
Police believe there was an argument between the victim, 73-year-old Anthony D'Amore, and the suspect, 56-year-old Nenad Milosevich, over payments for a Rolex watch.
The two men were described as friends by D'Amore's widow, and had reportedly eaten dinner together on the night of D'Amore's death.
D'Amore had been missing for three days when his body was found by police, on 23 December, at his workshop/showroom on the third floor of office tower in Fort Lauderdale. They were responding to his wife's concerns,
"The deal for the Rolex had gone bad and (D'Amore) was upping the price because Milosevic was not paying fast enough," according to arrest documents seen by the WPLG Local10.com news channel. He'd paid $16,000 and owed a further $4,000.
Milosevich was arrested and is being held at Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) Main Jail.
