Round up a Jewelry Purchase for Charity
January 04, 25(IDEX Online) - Jewelry retailers in the US are being urged to ask customers to round up their purchase to the next dollar - and donate the extra cents to charity.
Jewelers for Children (JFC) says over half of Americans have given to register round-ups in the last year.
The Round-Up Program is simple, it says. Retailers run round-ups through their existing point-of-sale software and then writing a quarterly check. The round-up can be anything from one cent.
Two brands already running the JFC Round-Up Program - Rogers & Hollands and Ashcroft & Oak - raised over $2,000 in a month from over 70 stores.
JFC was founded in 1999 by the US jewelry industry has since donated over $64m helping children affected by illness, abuse, or neglect.
