GJEPC's Milestone Exhibition in Saudi Arabia
January 07, 25(IDEX Online) - India's GJEPC will hold its first ever exhibition in Saudi Arabia this September, as it seeks to explore new markets.
Vipul Shah, chairman of the GJEPC (Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council) described it as "a significant milestone", when he spoke at the IIJS Signature 2025 show in Mumbai earlier this week.
He said: "This will serve as a gateway to boost bilateral trade between India and the GCC region (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE).
"This landmark event aims to serve as a gateway for strengthening bilateral trade, unlocking unparalleled opportunities for collaboration and growth.
The event will be held in Jeddah from 11 to 13 September.
The GJEPC is actively exploring other Middle Eastern markets, including Kuwait and Qatar.
IIJS Signature 2025, which concludes today (7 January) featured over 1,500 exhibitors across 3,000 stalls at two venues.
Organizers were expecting over 25,000 trade visitors, including retailers from over 800 Indian cities and more than 1,000 international visitors.
