J.Lo Keeps $5m Green Diamond in Affleck Divorce
January 14, 25(IDEX Online) - Jennifer Lopez is to keep her "lucky" green diamond engagement ring, valued at $5m, in her split from Ben Affleck.
The celebrity couple filed for divorce last August after little over a year of marriage and have now reached a settlement.
They'll get equal shares from the sale of their $61m Bel Air mansion in Los Angeles, and the deal allows Lopez, 55, to keep her most recent engagement ring.
The 8.50-carat green cushion modified brilliant-cut diamond is flanked by two elongated baguette diamonds and the platinum band is engraved with the phrase "not.going.anywhere". Lopez reportedly chose green for luck.
Actress, singer and cultural icon J.Lo has married four times, and has an impressive collection of five engagement rings, valued at up to $17m.
They include a ring set with a Harry Winston 6.1-carat radiant-cut fancy intense pink diamond from Affleck's first proposal 20 years ago. They called it off two years later.
She also has rings from former husbands Marc Anthony, Cris Judd, Ojani Noa. There is also a ring from Alex Rodriguez, a former fiancé.
Natural green diamonds are among the rarest in the world, with as few as 300 above one carat.
