Smart Rings, Now in Gold or Platinum
January 21, 25(IDEX Online) - A smart rings that monitor the wearer's sleep, movement, heart rate and more is now available in gold or platinum.
Indian startup Ultrahuman, which launched its first wearable collection in 2022, says it is "the "world's first luxury smart ring".
The company's standard range of smart rings are priced from $350. The luxury Desert collection uses the same tracking tech, but rings are priced between $1,900 and $2,250.
Ultrahuman's founder and CEO Mohit Kumar said the luxury line was "a whole new category".
Smart rings - like smartwatches but smaller - have been around since 2021.
Finland-based Oura Ring dominates the market with an 80 per cent share, and has sold around 2.5m rings.
Ultrahuman is disrupting the new category with two smart rings made of 18k gold and one of platinum.
They track sleep, stress, movement, heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature and ovulation.
