(IDEX Online) - A pair of Cartier Echo pendant earrings - with contrasting pink and white diamonds - is set to fetch up $3.1m to $4.1m at Sotheby's Hong Kong.
One is set with a large pink diamond (6.32-carat pear-shaped fancy intense, SI2) and a smaller white diamond (0.54 carat, brilliant cut, D /IF), the other is a near-mirror image, set with a large white diamond (6.03-carats, D / IF) and a smaller pink stone (0.62-carat, fancy intense, VS2).
Both are decorated with baguette diamonds (approximately 0.50-0.80 carats in total, average E-G / mostly VVS-VS), mounted in platinum and signed Cartier.
They will lead the High Jewelry auction on 25 April.
Among other highlights is a platinum ring set with a 5.24-carat cut-cornered rectangular fancy intense orangy pink diamond (VS2), flanked by two half-moon-shaped diamonds (estimate $1.5m to $2m), and a 45.15-carat step-cut fancy intense yellow diamond ring (estimate $1m to $2m).
