‘Design Your Own Ring' Program At adiamondisforever.Com
June 02, 03
Adiamondisforever.com launched an updated 'Design Your Own Ring' program within its design gallery. 'Design Your Own Ring' will incorporate a feature with which consumers can design a wide variety of three stone diamond rings, diamond engagement rings and now find similar rings by leading designers. “Three Stone Diamond Rings currently account for two out of every ten diamond ring purchases, and represent over half the value of the Three Stone Diamond Jewelry category here in the US,” says Anne Valentzas, Management Director overseeing adiamondisforever.com at J. Walter Thompson.
In addition to the Three Stone Diamond Ring feature, 'Design Your Own Ring' will showcase a "sliding scale" on which the users' diamond(s) will visibly reflect change as they increase and decrease in carat size. This feature will let viewers see their diamond ring designs in various carat sizes, ranging from half a carat to three carats.
"Our mission at adiamondisforever.com is to give visitors all of the tools they need in order to find the diamond ring of their dreams. By continuing to offer a plethora of design options and enhancing the technology on our site, we are confident that not only will we be successful in this endeavor, but that we will also continue to increase desire for diamond jewelry in the future," adds Valentzas.
In addition, nine new diamond jewelry manufacturers will begin participating in the Design Gallery, adding over 345 new diamond jewelry designs to the site.
According to Anne Valentzas, the signing on of these new manufacturers can be attributed to the Design Gallery's remarkable success:
- On average, each manufacturer receives twenty-eight thousand views (users looking at manufacturers' designs) per quarter;
- Studies show that more visitors to the Design Gallery acquired diamond jewelry versus non-visitors within a 6 month period (47 percent of female visitors acquired diamond jewelry versus only 29 percent of female non-visitors; 39 percent of male visitors acquired diamond jewelry versus 25 percent of male non-visitors);
- Almost one in five females stated that they purchased their diamond jewelry sooner than they would have otherwise; almost one third of male visitors shortened their purchase process after going on the Design Gallery;
- Studies show that visiting the Design Gallery positively impacts the price paid by consumers for diamond jewelry. 54 percent of visitors to the Design Gallery paid $1,000 or more for their diamond jewelry, while only 27 percent of those who hadn't visited Design Gallery paid $1,000 or more.
New Design Gallery manufacturers include: Atomic Creations, Bergio, Coast Diamond, Connoisseur International, Design Works, Diatraco, Nili Jewelry, Radiant Cut Diamond Corp., and Ritani Bridal. Returning manufacturers include: Daniel K, Gabrielle Diamonds, Kwiat Inc., Lazare Diamonds, SA Gems, Stardust Diamonds, Waldman Diamonds Complete and Michael Werdiger/Eloquence.
"With over one million consumers having visited Design Gallery since its' inception in 2001, this program has become an incredibly powerful tool for diamond jewelry manufacturers in terms of their ability to reach consumers predisposed to buying diamond jewelry," said Valentzas. "We have no doubt that between the addition of our extraordinary, new 'Design Your Own Ring' program, and the wide variety of diamond jewelry designs from both our current and new manufacturers, the Design Gallery will continue to grow and help manufacturers build their brand identities within the consumer marketplace."
