JCK Toronto features over 150 designers, manufacturers and suppliers showcasing new designs and collections for Canadian retailers.
"Our aim is to create a better and new experience for the Canadian marketplace and incorporated the input they had given us from last year's event," said Event Director John Tierney.
The HRA Group, a Diamond Trading Company (DTC) Sightholder, is hosting a diamond polishing event during the show, offering a glimpse of how diamonds are polished in Ontario.
HRA unveiled a 70 carat necklace made up of 25 rough diamonds commissioned from award winning designer Reena Ahluwalia and manufactured by Jeff Miller.
The necklace was commissioned “to celebrate diamonds that originated from the De Beers Canada Victor Mine and the development of a secondary diamond industry in Ontario,” according to the company.
Other events included the Canadian Jewellery Association (CJA) annual CJA Chairman's award to Dan Panos from Corona by CJA Chairman Peter Norton.
The trade show closed Tuesday.
