Today is The Last Day to Submit ITOs for H2 2005

Today at noon London time is the last day for Sightholders to submit their Intention To Offer (ITO) requests. A last minute burst of activity is noted by some of the brokers, assisting their clients in the process.
The ITO is the Sightholders semi annual request for goods, in this case, for the second half of 2005.
This ITO is of special interest, since it is expected to be given also to those diamond companies that will be new on the Sightholder list. In other words, by the time the ITOs are handed out, the decision on who will be a Sightholder in the next two and a half years will already be made.
Some expect the DTC to reply to the requests June 6 - 10, during Sight 5, the last Sight of the first half of 2005. However others believe an answer won’t be given until after the JCK Las Vegas Show, which takes place June 3 – 7. Sight six will be held July 11 – 15.
