23.5% Rise in Rough Diamond Exports from Israel

December 02, 07 by Edahn Golan

Net rough diamond exports from Israel rose 23.5 percent in the first 11 months of the year to $3.12 billion. The rise comes against the backdrop of continued rising rough prices in the global market.

The figures, released by the Israeli ministry of industry, trade and labor, did not include November’s trade in carats at publication time.

Rough diamond imports rose 7.5 percent to $4.491 billion from $4.178 billion in the 11 month period in 2006.
