De Beers Diamond Jewellers and Omega stores in London were broken into at about 10 pm on Saturday and a number of items were stolen from them, according to the City of London Police. No details were made available about the stolen items or their value.

Joining a growing line of thefts from leading luxury stores, the Saturday break in took place at the Royal Exchange, a 16th century structure that houses more than 30 luxury shops. The Royal Exchange is closed on the weekends.

According to the report, the thieves broke into the Royal Exchange and then smashed the windows of the two stores. According to one account, alarms at Tiffany’s & Co also went off; however, no break-in was reported at the store.

All three stores are located in the shopping center’s courtyard.
