True Love at Tiffany & Co.

June 02, 11 by IDEX Online Staff Reporter

(IDEX Online News) - Iconic jeweler Tiffany & Co. has introduced a new True Love website and iPhone App as a “go-to” resource for those in lurve. The site features tales from real-life couples, a compendium of tips for love-struck couples gleaned from Tiffany's 175 years as an expert on the subject and a travel guide to New York – the ultimate city for falling in love.

"Tiffany has long been a major presence at engagements and weddings, and now we've built that presence online with love stories and a whole world of romantic possibilities," said Caroline Naggiar, chief marketing officer of Tiffany & Co.

The website debuted with actor and filmmaker Edward Burns' Will You Marry Me?' a short film created exclusively for Tiffany. The movie presents a variety of couples, filmed against a backdrop of iconic New York settings, who share details from their romantic journeys.

The site features four main areas: Love Stories, where couples recount romantic moments that include a diamond engagement ring or other gift; The Art of Romance “Tiffany Tips: When Love Gets Serious,” which offers relationship advice; Tiffany's New York, a travel area that offers venues that may be offered as “tips” on the company’s page and Love is Everywhere Here, which allows users to add their own stories on the site.

After placing a heart at the desired point on a map and adding their initials, an overlay allows them to convey a story, send a note or suggest a favorite rendezvous. These hearts may then be shared on Facebook or Twitter (#whatmakeslovetrue).

Moving out of the realm of jewelry, the Tiffany’s New York section also features recommendations to a playlist of classic love songs, as well as future hits. One of them, singer-songwriter Josh Radin's arrangement of the classic hit, You're the First, the Last, My Everything, will be introduced exclusively on the website and app. Tiffany will introduce other exclusive new songs by various artists throughout the year.

Movies set in New York are also listed. These include classics such as Sabrina and Breakfast at Tiffany's, as well as You've Got Mail and When Harry Met Sally.
