Belgium Rough Trade Continues to Rise in Value

Belgium exported 12.02 million carats of rough diamonds worth $1.2 million in July. Imports in July totaled $1.14 billion, on 11.18 million carats of goods. The figures include gem and industrial quality goods

 

These rough diamond trade values represent a decline in volume (25.6 percent on exports, 6.4 percent for imports) and a rise in value (4 percent and 28.9 percent respectively).

 

In the first seven months of the year, traders exported $7.52 billion in goods and imported $7 billion.
