Kimberley Diamond Sale Yields $346 Per Carat

Kimberley Diamond Company, the Australian diamond miner, has sold 8,000 carats of rough fetching about $2,768,000, an average of $346 per carat.

 

Kimberley Diamond Company operates the Ellendale mine in Western Australia. The goods were mined in Ellendale’s Pipe Nine.

 

Kimberley chairman Miles Kennedy told ABC North West WA, the company originally predicted getting  $132 per carat from the Ellendale lease.
