De Beers & African Diamond Set Up Exploration JV

De Beers and African Diamonds have finalized the agreement on a joint venture in Botswana, Boteti Exploration. De Beers will hold 51 percent of the new company and African Diamonds the remaining 49 percent.

The new company will buy from the partners 11 prospecting licenses and explore for diamond deposits in Botswana.
