The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for October 31, 2013

(IDEX Online News) – Although prices in general, were down this week in round diamonds, there was a noticeable increase in the number of rising prices compared with the situation prevailing in recent weeks, according to this week's IDEX Online Price Report.

In contrast to what was seen in round diamonds, activity was much lower in the fancy shape market, with price changes fairly evenly matched between risers and decliners.

• 0.18-0.22 cts D / IF -3.3% to $2,900 p/c
• 0.23-0.29 cts unchanged
• 0.30-0.39 cts G-I / SI1-SI2 rising by around 3%
• 0.40-0.44 cts many increases in better colors, medium to low clarities
• 0.45-0.49 cts G / SI2-I1 rises of 3.0%
• 0.50-0.69 cts H / I2-I3 declining
• 0.70-0.79 cts  D-E / IF-VVS1 declines of around 3%
• 0.80-0.89 cts several declines
• 0.90-0.99 cts D-F / IF-VVS1 declining
• 1.00-1.24 cts E / IF-VVS2 declines of around 3%
• 1.25-1.49 cts D-F / IF declining
• 2 cts L-N / I1 rises of 3-4%
• 3 cts  several declines
• 4 cts M-N / VVS1-VVS2 declines of around 3%
• 5 cts no changes

• 0.30-00.39 cts J / VS2 +5.6% to $950 p/c
• 0.40-0.44 cts I / VS2 -3.7% to $1,300 p/c
• 0.45-0.49 cts J / VS2-SI1 declines of 4%
• 0.50-0.69 cts just one decline
• 0.70-0.79 cts J / VS2 +2.2% to $2,350 p/c
• 0.80-0.89 cts several declines in better colors and clarities
• 0.90-0.99 cts K-L / VVS1 rises of around 4%
• 1.00-1.24 cts J-K / I1 rising by around 4%
• 1.50-1.99 cts I / I1 +3.0% to $3,400 p/c
