The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for February 27, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – As in previous weeks, there was again widespread activity in smaller round diamonds and five-carat stones, according to the IDEX Online Price Report.

In fancy shape diamonds, there were again relatively low levels of activity, with most of the action being downward, apart from in five-carat stones where there were many rises.

The following are some of the changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

• 0.18-0.22 cts D / IF -3.3% to $2,900 p/c
• 0.23-0.29 cts just one change, a decliner
• 0.30-0.39 cts H / VS2-SI3 rises of 2-4%
• 0.40-0.44 cts F-J / SI2-SI3 increases of 2-4%
• 0.45-0.49 cts strong rises in most colors and clarities
• 0.50-0.69 cts increases in better colors, medium clarities
• 0.70-0.79 cts mostly declining
• 0.80-0.89 cts E-H / I3 declining by 3-4%
• 0.90-0.99 cts just two changes, both downwards
• 1.00-1.24 cts unchanged
• 1.25-1.49 cts no changes
• 2 cts K-N / I1 rises of 2-4%
• 3 cts just one change, downwards
• 4 cts two changes, risers
• 5 cts many declines in better colors, medium clarities

• 0.18-0.22 cts D-E / VS2-SI1 rises of 4.0-4.6%
• 0.23-0.29 cts just two changes, one up and one down
• 0.30-0.39 cts unchanged
• 0.40-0.44 cts E / VVS2 +2.1% to $2,400 p/c
• 0.45-0.49 cts E / IF -2.8% to $3,500 p/c
• 0.50-0.69 cts H / IF -3.5% to $2,800 p/c
• 0.70-0.79 cts several declines in IF stones
• 0.80-0.89 cts a range of declines
• 0.90-0.99 cts D-E / VVS1 declining
• 1.00-1.24 cts K / I1 +4.6% to $2,300 p/c
• 1.50-1.99 cts unchanged
• 2 cts no changes
• 3 cts D-E / VS2 rises of around 3%
• 4 cts just one change, upwards
