The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for May 22, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – There was a wide range of activity in smaller and medium-size goods with approximately even levels of rises and declines, but thin action among larger diamonds, according to the weekly IDEX Online Price Report.

Fancy shape diamonds again posted a large variety of changes which were mostly upwards, but with considerable numbers of decreases.

·         0.23-0.29 cts J / VS2 +3.6% to $1,450 p/c

• 0.30-0.39 cts E / VS1-VS2 rises of 2%
• 0.40-0.44 cts E-G / IF rises of 2-3%
• 0.45-0.49 cts many rises in lower colors and mid-clarities
• 0.50-0.69 cts mostly rising
• 0.70-0.79 cts E-H / I3 declines of 3-4%
• 0.80-0.89 cts mostly declining
• 0.90-0.99 cts D / IF +2.9% to $1,440 p/c
• 1.00-1.24 cts F-G / SI1 rising by 2%
• 1.25-1.49 cts just two changes, one rising and one declining
• 2 cts unchanged
• 3 cts no changes
• 4 cts unchanged
• 5 cts no changes

• 0.18-0.22 cts I-J / IF-VVS1 rises of 4-5%
• 0.23-0.29 cts E-G / -SI1 declines of 4-5%
• 0.30-0.39 cts many rises
• 0.40-0.44 cts K / IF +3.7% to $1,400 p/c
• 0.45-0.49 cts many increases in top colors and clarities
• 0.50-0.69 cts J / VS1-VS2 rising by 3%
• 0.70-0.79 cts just one change, downwards
• 0.80-0.89 cts I / SI3-I2 declines of 2-3%
• 0.90-0.99 cts just one change, downwards
• 1.00-1.24 cts unchanged
• 1.50-1.99 cts two changes, both upwards
