The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for July 17, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – Round diamond prices again saw relatively few changes this week, with a tendency to the negative, according to the weekly IDEX Online Price Report.

There was widespread activity in fancy shapes, in a range of sizes, with most changes being negative.

The following are some of the changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

• 0.18-0.22 cts two changes, both upwards

·         0.23-0.29 cts E-G / SI2 rising by 3-4%

• 0.30-0.39 cts one change, upwards
• 0.40-0.44 cts I-J / I1 rising by more than 4%
• 0.45-0.49 cts unchanged
• 0.50-0.69 cts E-F / IF rising by 3%
• 0.70-0.79 cts M-N / IF-VVS1 declines of 2%
• 0.80-0.89 cts one change, a decliner
• 0.90-0.99 cts I / IF -3.0% to $6,400 p/c
• 1.00-1.24 cts M-N / SI3 declining by 3-5%
• 1.25-1.49 cts mostly declining
• 2 cts unchanged
• 3 cts K-L / IF declining by 1-2%
• 4 cts many declines
• 5 cts unchanged

Fancy Cuts

• 0.18-0.22 cts many declines in higher colors and clarities
• 0.23-0.29 cts D / SI2 +4.6% to $1,150 p/c
• 0.30-0.39 cts D-E / SI1-SI2 rises of 2-3%
• 0.40-0.44 cts just one change, upwards
• 0.45-0.49 cts unchanged
• 0.50-0.69 cts just one change, downwards
• 0.70-0.79 cts D / SI3-I2 rising by 3%
• 0.80-0.89 cts J / SI1-SI2 rising by 2%
• 0.90-0.99 cts just one change, downwards
• 1.00-1.24 cts many decreases in top colors and clarities
• 1.50-1.99 cts mostly declining
• 2 cts just three changes, two up and one down
