Alrosa 2004 Dividends Jump 50% to $64.7 million

Alrosa's Executive Board has recommended a 1.8 billion ruble ($64.7 million) dividend, 12.9 percent of the diamond miner’s net profit for 2004, and an increase of 50 percent over 2003 dividends, in line with increased profitability.

According to Alrosa’s Executive Board, the company's total net profit rose 43.9 percent to RUR13.92 billion ($500.65 million) in 2004.

The miner invested RUR12.63 billion ($454.51 million) last year and mined $1.75 billion worth of diamonds with sales revenue totaling RUR 64.27 billion ($2.316 billion).
