Kudrin Elected Chairman of Alrosa Board

Russia's Finance Minister, Alexei Kudrin, was unanimously elected chairman of Alrosa’s supervisory board. Igor Borisov, chairman of Yakutia’s government, was elected as vice chairman of the board.

The Russian government is Alrosa’s majority stake holder, holding 37 percent of the company’s shares. The Yakutia republic holds a 32 percent stake.

Other shareholders include unions and workers' organizations.
