Sotheby’s Auctions 10.24 Carat Fancy Yellow Diamond for $157K
February 07, 08 The item that garnered the highest price was a 21.54 carat cushion antique mixed cut sapphire and diamond platinum ring that sold for $217,000. The sapphire was listed as being of Burmese origin and not heat treated. Although few details were provided for the diamonds, they were listed as being 2.5 carat calf’s heat cut. Also of note was an 18 karat gold and diamond ring, which sold for $133,000. The 6.51 carat I/VS1 emerald cut diamond is flanked by two half moon shaped diamonds, together weighing approximately 1 carat. A 14.29 carat pear shaped diamond ring sold for $115,000.
