Alrosa Appoints Marketing Manager

Alrosa has appointed Vladlen Dmitriyevich Nogovitsyn (47) to head the Russian diamond giant marketing efforts, the company announced Wednesday.
Nogovitsyn started working for the diamond industry in 1992 as rough diamond sorter. He was later appointed head of Republic of Sakha’ (Yakutia) sorting center.
Between 1995 and 1999, he was Sakha’s trade representative in the UK. In 2001, Nogovitsyn graduated from the Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, specializing in international relations.
Since 2006, Nogovitsyn has headed Alrosa’s subsidiary Arcos Hong Kong Ltd., which represents Alrosa’s interests in the Asia-Pacific market.
