Activist Group Urges Susan Sarandon to Boycott Leviev

Lev Leviev’s U.S flagship jewelry store recently opened in New York City in the midst of protests organized by activist group Adalah-NY. The organization also reported that they have sent a letter to actress and UNICEF goodwill ambassador Susan Sarandon, who attended the grand opening of the store, urging her to refrain from purchasing from Leviev.  

Sarandon, known as much for her activist work as her acting, is “exploring Israeli diamond magnate Lev Leviev’s construction of Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and exploitation of marginalized communities in other parts of the world,” according to Adalah-NY.

Since the Leviev New York store opened on November 13, Adalah-NY has organized numerous protests and has also leafleted at the store.
