Suspected Murderer of Campbell Bridges Caught in Nairobi

Less than a week after a tribute was held in his honor, it appears that the mastermind behind the murder of Campbell Bridges has been caught, the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) announced Monday. The man was arrested in Nairobi late Monday afternoon.

According to the ICA, the Bridges family’s private security force apprehended Daniel M. Mnene, commonly known as “Suleiman,” and held him until police arrived to arrest him for allegedly killing Bridges and attacking Bridges’ son Bruce and four colleagues last August. One of these colleagues was a security officer that apprehended Mnene.

The security officer was brutally beaten and stabbed by the mob that murdered the renowned gemologist in Taita Taveta District in Tsavo National Park. The officer reportedly accompanied police to the station to document the arrest of the alleged suspect.
