The AGTA event saw a rise in traffic over last year | The 2010 AGTA GemFair saw a 7 percent increase in buyer traffic over the 2009 show, the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) reported Wednesday. A total of 8,176 registered buyers attended the event, which was held February 2-7 at the Tucson Convention Center in Tuscon, Arizona. "We were encouraged to see an increase in the number of buyers at GemFair and the enthusiasm they brought to the show floor," stated Douglas K. Hucker, AGTA CEO. "We had steady traffic each day of the show and the buyers were serious about restocking their inventory in a wide variety of gemstones and pearls in all price points." Highlights from the AGTA fair included the ICA Reception on February 3 where ICA, GIA and AGTA produced a tribute to Campbell Bridges. |
