Audience Receive Pink Diamonds at Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure

(IDEX Online News) - Rio Tinto’s colored diamonds from its Argyle mine were the highlight of the finale of Oprah Winfrey’s Ultimate Australian Adventure. The finale show, aired across the U.S. and Australia this week, was taped in December in front of an audience of 6,000 at Sydney’s Opera House.

Argyle diamonds were showcased on and off stage with each member of the audience receiving a limited edition Australian Colors “O” necklace featuring seven Argyle diamonds including a pink diamond.

The Argyle diamond mine is the largest source of colored diamonds, including whites, champagnes, cognacs, blues, greens and pink diamonds.

According to Jean-Marc Lieberherr, General Manager for the sales and marketing of Rio Tinto’s diamonds, “We were delighted to take part in the 25th and finale season of the Oprah Winfrey Show, which also coincides with 25 years of diamond production from the Argyle mine.”
