G4S Launches GIA Round-Trip Service

(IDEX Online News) – G4S International Logistics on Friday announced 'The Loop', a round-trip service, shipping solution for jewelers shipping to and from GIA's Carlsbad grading lab.
Created specifically for the GIA's Carlsbad laboratory, The Loop makes shipping gemstones and jewelry to and from the GIA lab easier while adding an enhanced level of security that other freight forwarders cannot provide, the secure logistics division of security provider G4S said.
Using the Loop, jewelers can select their choice of carrier, insurance coverage and identify their return destination address. Then, they print out their outbound label and include the return shipping barcode with their gemstones or jewelry. Once the gemstones have been graded, the GIA simply scans the barcode to print out a return label. The GIA also can adjust insurance levels, as needed.
The service also can be used for one-way shipments.
"We are proud to collaborate with the GIA to develop a service that meets their unique needs," said Nicole Stevens, National Key Accounts Manager. "We are confident that jewelers nationwide will find using the Loop the easiest, most secure way to ship to or from the GIA."
The "Loop" service is representative of G4S International Logistic's collaborative style. The company recently created a specialized customer returns process for e-tail giant Blue Nile.
