Record 2,525 Diamonds Set in One Ring

(IDEX Online News) - The Lobortas Classic Jewelry House of Kiev, Ukraine has entered the record books by setting 2,525 diamonds in one ring. The “Tsarevna Swan” ring was presented and measured in Kiev on July 21, 2011, the Guinness Book of World Records confirmed.

The ring weighs 44.72 grams and contains a total of 10.48 carats of diamonds ranging in size from 0.001- to 0.05 carat.

The diamonds for the ring were supplied by DTC Sightholder Shrenuj & Co. and are all of G color and VVS2 -VS1 clarities.

Lobortas reports that design and development of the ring took 530 hours, while fabrication took 3,625 hours.
