IDEX Polished Price: Further Stability in March
April 01, 25
(IDEX Online) - The IDEX Polished Price Index remained largely stable during March. It lost 0.54 per cent, which is small compared to monthly losses of over 3 per cent last year. In February it was also stable (a marginal 0.02 per cent gain). In January it fell 1.32 per cent.
Prices have flattened somewhat after more than two years of overall decline. The Index closed the month at 94.37, which means prices are now lower than when it was launched (benchmarked at 100) in July 2004. The Index hit its lowest point for 13 years in May 2024 and the trend has been mostly downwards since then, albeit with a small bump in early 2024.
